Product Introduction

The HM-CL3 is the high-flow benchtop dust particle counter from HM Instruments, designed for cleanroom and controlled-environment facilities that need to collect the ISO 14644-1 minimum sample volume per location in a single pass rather than accumulating multiple short counts. At 28.3 L/min (1 cfm), the HM-CL3 draws ten times the air volume per minute compared to the 2.83 L/min models, so a location that requires 1,000 litres of sample air is completed in about 35 seconds instead of nearly six minutes. A single sampling pass simultaneously measures 0.3, 0.5, 1.0, 3.0, 5.0 and 10.0 µm particle size channels.

Confidence-level evaluation follows GB/T 6167-2007 and JJF-1190-2008, so the purification level is judged automatically. Counts are computed at 95% UCL and convertible between m³ and ft³. The audit trail function is queryable, traceable and controllable, compliant with FDA 21CFR PART11, so every sampling run, configuration change and user login is logged. The built-in thermal printer lets operators print selected particle size channels on the spot, and the AC/DC dual-use battery supports continuous sampling for more than six hours away from wall power. The external high-flow filter provides instrument self-purification between sampling locations without relying on the room's own filtered air supply.
