The HM-CL1 is the entry-level benchtop dust particle counter from HM Instruments, built for cleanroom and controlled-environment facilities that need six-channel airborne particle measurement without the overhead of battery operation, audit trail modules or onboard printers. A single sampling pass at 2.83 L/min (0.1 cfm) simultaneously measures 0.3, 0.5, 1.0, 3.0, 5.0 and 10.0 µm particle size channels, and the instrument displays both the raw count of each channel and how those counts change between passes.
Confidence-level evaluation follows the Chinese national standard GB/T 6167-2007 and the calibration specification JJF-1190-2008, so the cleanliness class is judged automatically rather than requiring manual lookup. Counts are computed at 95% upper confidence limit (UCL) and can be converted between particles per m³ and per ft³. Built-in temperature, humidity and barometric pressure sensors record the environmental context of every sample.
