Why the Customer Bought: The Starting Point

Sample and reagent handling. The training covered soil weighing, extraction, filtering, and the correct use of the balance, pipettes and reaction bottles. Because the extraction chemistry depends on precise ratios, the electronic balance and graduated glassware were treated as part of the measurement chain rather than accessories.
Result interpretation. The final module showed how to use the built-in crop expert system to convert nutrient concentrations into recommended fertiliser rates for wheat, maize, potatoes and other regional crops. Operators also learned to export and upload data for long-term record keeping.

Building a Commercial Soil Testing Service Around the HM-GT2

Shelf-life monitoring. Reagents are stored away from direct sunlight and temperature extremes. The service centre records opening dates and discards reagents that have passed their effective period, even if the bottle is not empty.
Connecting Soil Tests to Fertiliser Recommendations
The final link in the service chain is the fertiliser recommendation. The HM-GT2's built-in crop expert system calculates a suggested fertiliser rate based on the measured soil supply, the selected crop and a target yield.
