The planar in-situ root monitoring system is a soil root in-situ planar multi-level image monitoring device that can obtain soil and root profile images, monitor the growth status of living root systems in soil, and obtain high-resolution images for analyzing the detailed structure of root systems.

Professional in situ root analysis software can be used to quickly analyze and calculate root morphology parameters such as total root length, average diameter, surface area, total projected area, total volume, and number of root tips.

This instrument overcomes the limitations of rotary root monitoring devices and can continuously measure the growth status of a complete plane of roots, which is more practical for root research.
