Dissolved oxygen online analyzer is a commonly used instrument and equipment, mainly used to measure dissolved oxygen in water, and is widely used in industry, agriculture, scientific research, environmental protection and other fields.

Measurement principle

The dissolved oxygen value of the dissolved oxygen online analyzer in water depends on the temperature, pressure and salinity dissolved in the water. The sensor part of the dissolved oxygen analyzer is composed of a gold electrode (cathode) and a silver electrode (anode) and potassium chloride or potassium hydroxide electrolyte. Oxygen diffuses into the electrolyte through the membrane and forms a measurement circuit with the gold electrode and the silver electrode. When a polarization voltage of 0.6~0.8V is applied to the dissolved oxygen analyzer electrode, oxygen diffuses through the membrane, the cathode releases electrons, and the anode accepts electrons to generate current. The whole reaction process is: anode Ag+Cl→AgCl+2e-, cathode O2+2H2O+4e→4OH-. According to Faraday's law: the current flowing through the electrode of the dissolved oxygen analyzer is proportional to the oxygen partial pressure, and the current and oxygen concentration are linearly related when the temperature remains unchanged.

Preparation of oxygen-free water

At room temperature of 20°C, put 250ml of distilled water in a beaker, add about 50mg of anhydrous sodium sulfite (to make it fully saturated), and add an appropriate amount of cobalt chloride (CoCl2) as a catalyst, stir evenly and use.

DO calibration

Put the DO electrode in oxygen-free water, enter the low point calibration menu (calibrated at the factory), wait for stability, and press ENTER to confirm storage.

Put the DO electrode in the air, wait for stability, enter the air calibration, and press ENTER to confirm storage.

Or enter the high point calibration, put the DO electrode in a known solution, wait for stability, enter the dissolved oxygen value of this liquid, and press ENTER to confirm storage. (2, 3, choose one calibration)
