The HM-SDX is a handheld water toxicity detection instrument designed for rapid field screening of water quality threats using the luminescent bacteria bioluminescence inhibition method. When toxic substances contact luminescent bacteria (Vibrio fischeri, Photobacterium phosphoreum, Vibrio qinghaiensis), the bacterial light output decreases proportionally to toxicity concentration — the HM-SDX quantifies this inhibition to provide immediate qualitative toxicity assessment.
Measuring just 188×77×37mm, the HM-SDX brings laboratory-grade toxicity screening to field environments including water treatment plant patrols, emergency response situations, aquaculture monitoring, and environmental inspection operations. The 3500mAh rechargeable battery supports over 4 hours of continuous measurements without recharging.
The instrument offers three measurement modes in a single device: qualitative toxicity screening (luminescent bacteria inhibition), ATP bacteria counting (microbial contamination assessment), and combined screening mode.
