Product Introduction

The HM-RZT is HM Instruments' advanced melt flow index tester that integrates both mass-method (MFR) and volume-method (MVR) measurement capabilities into a single benchtop instrument. While MFR measures the weight of polymer extruded through a standard die in 10 minutes (g/10min), MVR measures the volume of extruded polymer (cm³/10min) using displacement measurement — together they provide a more complete picture of polymer melt rheology than either method alone.

The instrument features a digital display system with 0.1 mm displacement measurement precision for accurate MVR calculation, alongside timing precision of 1 second. Temperature control spans from ambient to 300°C (400°C available as custom configuration), with ±2°C constant-temperature accuracy maintained by the advanced PID control system. The load system supports the full range from 0.325 kg to 21.6 kg, configurable in multiple combinations (1.2, 2.16, 3.8, 5.0, 7.16, 10, 12.5, and 21.6 kg) to meet the diverse testing requirements specified across ASTM D1238, D3364, ISO 1133, and JIS K7210 standards.
