The HM-RZ is HM Instruments' entry-level melt flow index tester designed for routine MFR (Melt Flow Rate) measurement of thermoplastic materials. Built on the mass-method principle defined in GB/T 3682-2000 and ISO 1133, it determines the mass of polymer melt extruded through a standard die under specified temperature and load conditions over a 10-minute interval, providing a direct indicator of polymer viscosity in the molten state.
The instrument features a Hastelloy alloy heating barrel that resists oxidation and corrosion even under prolonged high-temperature operation up to 400°C, paired with dual temperature sensors and fuzzy PID algorithm control delivering ±0.5°C constant-temperature accuracy with 0.1°C display resolution.
