The HM-FP4 Flame Photometer is a four-channel atomic emission spectrometer built by HM Instruments for simultaneous determination of potassium, sodium, lithium, and calcium in liquid samples. Using interference filter spectral separation combined with a silicon photocell detector, the instrument reads each element's characteristic emission line independently and displays results as direct concentration values. A 7-inch color capacitive touch LCD provides an intuitive operating interface, while a built-in thermal printer delivers instant hard-copy records of every measurement.
Designed for upper mid-range analytical laboratories, the HM-FP4 allows any combination of three elements to be measured simultaneously from a single aspiration, dramatically improving throughput compared to sequential single-element methods. The self-developed high-performance nebulizer ensures consistent sample uptake below 6 mL/min, and one-touch ignition with a built-in air pump simplifies daily startup. Calibration curves of up to 10 points per element can be stored for 20 different methods, supporting segmented fitting, linear fitting, and curve fitting modes.
