HM Instruments HM-SCP150 is a handheld ultrasonic cell disruptor for laboratory-scale processing of liquid samples. It uses high-intensity ultrasound to create cavitation in liquid, supporting disruption of animal and plant tissues, cells, bacteria, spores, and related biological materials. The instrument also supports emulsification, separation, dispersion, homogenization, extraction, degassing, cleaning, and the acceleration of chemical, biological, and physical reactions. Its integrated generator and transducer form a compact instrument that can be held in the hand or used with an optional support stand. The 0.1–100 ml processing range suits compact sample batches and controlled method development. Intelligent frequency tracking follows the resonance point to help stabilize the load, while voltage-regulated power control enables adjustment within the model specification.
