Product Introduction

The HM-BC Pro is a portable COD water quality analyzer that pairs single-parameter spectrophotometric detection for Chemical Oxygen Demand with a four-port sensor module for electrode-based measurements. Designed as an entry-level platform in the HM-B series, it focuses on organic load testing while offering sensor expansion for teams that also need to record pH, dissolved oxygen, conductivity, turbidity, and other field parameters during the same site visit.

The spectrophotometric system uses 16mm pre-made test tubes and cuvettes up to 50mm, with a 360° precision rotating holder that improves reading stability. A built-in dual-zone 8-vial digester reaches 165°C within 10 minutes under PID control at ±0.5°C, and digestion runs alongside colorimetric detection and sensor measurement on the same Android 7.1.1 platform. Teams that later require COD plus ammonia nitrogen on one unit can step up to the dual-parameter model in the same series.

Four sensor interfaces support simultaneous insertion and detection of pH, ORP, dissolved oxygen (fluorescence method), residual chlorine (constant-voltage method), conductivity, salinity, turbidity, and dozens of other probes. A 48V 8Ah lithium battery delivers over six hours of operation, enough for a full field day of sampling, digestion, and reporting.

Testing Items

Spectrophotometric detection:

  • COD (Chemical Oxygen Demand)

Sensor module options (4 ports, simultaneous measurement):

pH, ORP, dissolved oxygen (fluorescence method), residual chlorine (constant-voltage method), conductivity, salinity, ozone, turbidity, hardness, suspended solids, sludge concentration, COD, ammonia nitrogen, chlorophyll, blue-green algae, oil in water, CDOM, and dozens of additional parameters.
